How matching works

First AI-powered senior living matching based on care needs, lifestyle preferences, and budget

Most directories hand you a long list and leave the sorting to you. Senior Places does the sorting. You tell us about the person you are helping, and every community near you is scored on the three things that decide whether a place will actually work: care needs, lifestyle preferences, and budget. Then a Match Report explains each one in plain words, so you walk into a tour already knowing what to ask.

Senior Places matches families with senior living communities by scoring every community against the family’s own answers on care needs, lifestyle preferences, and budget. A short quiz that takes a few minutes produces a Match Score for each community nearby and an AI-written Match Report explaining why it fits and where it falls short. Communities cannot pay for a better ranking or placement, and it is free for families.

1

Tell us who you are looking for

The Smart Match Quiz asks about the person, not the paperwork: what kind of help they need day to day, how they like to spend their time, and what the family can comfortably spend. It adapts as you go, skipping what does not apply, and takes a few minutes.

Care needs

Daily help, health conditions, mobility, memory support.

Lifestyle preferences

Activities, dining, pets, faith, culture, the feel of the place.

Budget

What fits, how you plan to pay, and whether a waiver applies.

2

Every community near you gets a Match Score

Instead of a list sorted by who is closest or who advertises most, you see every community scored on how well it fits your answers. The ring shows the overall fit at a glance, and its three arcs show care, lifestyle and budget separately, so you can see where a place is strong and where it is not.

Excellent Match

Fits on all three. Tour it.

Strong Match

Fits well, with one thing to check.

Good Match

Worth a look if the gap is something you can live with.

A Strong Match means the same thing in every city, for every family. A community’s score does not change because of who else is nearby, and no community can pay to move up.

3

Read why, in plain words

Every match comes with a Match Report. The AI writes it from your answers and the community’s own information: a bottom line, what lines up, what does not, and the questions worth asking on a tour. It tells you the gaps as plainly as the wins, because a surprise after move-in is the one outcome everyone is trying to avoid.

A person, whenever you want one

Communities can’t pay for placement

Your results are ordered by fit with your answers. No community can buy a better spot.

Gaps shown, not hidden

If a community misses something you need, the report says so before you spend an afternoon touring it.

State inspection records, where available

For California communities, license status and inspection history sit right on the profile.
